Dexter Season 7 Episode 5 Swim Deep

Lieutenant Debra Morgan demonstrated once again where her loyalties lie in episode 5 of “Dexter” season 7, titled “Swim Deep” — and once again, Dexter came out on top. But protecting the serial killer — and her own complicity — is tormenting the career cop who cannot condone his crimes. Read the full recap after the jump.   

Dexter finally discovers that Louis was killed on his boat, thanks to his handy spray bottle of Luminol and a little DNA typing.

Dexter Season 7 Episode 5 Swim Deep When Dexter told Deb that she was in danger from the Koshka brotherhood and confessed that he was the one who killed Victor — and did it by utilizing evidence that would have helped a police investigation — she made him promise that he would never again take justice into his own hands on a solvable case.

Dexter Season 7 Episode 5 Swim DeepDeb’s complicity extends much further when LaGuerta ropes her into her secret reinvestigation of the case formerly pinned on Doakes. Deb did her best to actively interfere with LaGuerta’s investigation into the Bay Harbor Butcher bloodslide. She elbowed her way into helping her out with the case, and then volunteered to look through the folder of wedding photos that one of Dexter’s victim’s sons gave them. When she found an incriminating photo of Dexter lurking at the wedding, she gave it to Dexter, and he burned it.

Dexter Season 7 Episode 5 Swim DeepHannah received full immunity for her role in her boyfriend’s killing spree. She’s clearly enjoying her trip down memory lane as she helps Miami Metro locate the victims.

Dexter Season 7 Episode 5 Swim Deep With Isaak, Dex metes out justice that doesn’t involve shrink wrap and duct tape. Instead, he lures the Koshka Brotherhood boss to a Colombian cartel bar, expecting the drug warlords to kill him. Instead, Isaak slays them all, not without spilling some of his own blood, leading to his arrest.

Quinn is getting in way too deep with his stripper girlfriend, and the Koshka brotherhood has now officially put him on the payroll. They left him a bag of cash in his car, and he took it.
